The SS Untied States came up the bay Monday, for a 2 year stay as they prepare her to be scuttled for a new reef in the gulf.
We had a great Billy Goat Celebration, no kidding!
The Billy Goat Race 2025
Eight intrepid sailors raced the 2025 Billy Goat Race in breezy conditions.
Michael Mark took home the goat for first place and Hendrick Snow won the Goat Skull for last. All the boats were winners though, each selected their trophy and their shirts from races past. Now we have a little more space in the trophy closet.
PRO Tom Davis was assisted by Charley Johnson, Keith Klusman, Kevin Uteg, and Jim Hunter.
Thank you to Mary Gartman and her crew for a delicious Boat Goat feed. The overnight grillers included, Johnrobert Deputy, Dylan McRee, Josh Arndt, Ady Deputy, Wes Stanley, and Zane McRee. Thanks also to Sam Wacker for his help in the Grill hut Sunday Morning.
The goat tacos, grilled chicken, coleslaw, baked beans and Cole slaw were awesome!
THE POTATO SALAD CONTEST
There were 5 participants in the Potato Salad Contest: Amy Kleinschrodt, Kalisa Howard, Noah Wacker, Mary Gartman and one late entry.
The winner is KALISA HOWARD! The winning salad was chosen by those that ate and voted.

Come Help Plan the 2025 Lipton Regatta
The meeting is Thursday, March 20 at 7:00 pm night. Amy and Kenny Klienschrodt are co-chairing the regatta.
Buccaneer is hosting the 2025 GYA Sir Thomas Lipton Regatta and this is the first organizational. There are on the water and land based jobs for all skill and knowledge levels.

Friday, March 21 Bingo and the bar opens at 6pm
Sunday, March 23 Chris Weaver 1-6pm
Sunday, April 6 Dawn Deputy 1-5ish pm
We are always looking for new bartenders. If you’re interested, please contact Tony or Mary Gartman. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! If they order it, they have to tell you how to make it, or you can Google it, or look it up in the bartender’s book behind the bar.
